The NectArena Women's Stage Returns for the 2010!
In 2009, the NectArena Women's Stage went on a one year hiatus to prepare for the 40th anniversary of the SFLGBT Pride Celebration. In order to ensure the women's community still had a dedicated space at the Pride festivities, NectArena teamed up with San Francisco Pride and Christine De La Rosa to present the Women’s Dance and Performance Pavilion (WDPP). The WDPP was a one time production exclusively pulled together for 2009 in the absence of the NectArena Women's Stage. NectArena would like to say a special thank you the WDPP Committee for their effort and energy put forth to hold the space for our community. The WDPP Committee members included Lisa Williams (Venue Manager), Christine De La Rosa "Miz Chris" (Stage Manager), Olga Texidor "Dj Olga T" (Sound Coordinator), Kentucky Fried Woman (Performance Coordinator) and Amy Adams "Mz Amy" (Volunteer Coordinator).

Edaj - NectArena Executive Producer
Edaj, a versatile artist whose career as a writer, performance artist, choreographer, production coordinator, emcee and of course disc jockey, began in 1991 while stationed at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa Japan. She continued her many forms of artistic expression during the years she spent stationed at various Air Force bases through out Asia and Europe. In 1996 she made her debut in San Francisco where she has become an influential well-known entertainment specialist continually showcasing her talents internationally and across the nation. Her most memerobale performances were as a co-choreographer and dancer for Club Q from 1996 - 2000. Her most celebrated performance is at MANGO, where since 1997, she has amazed and delighted patrons with visual and audio pleasure. Since 2002, she has served as the Executive Producer of the NectArena Women’s Stage at the San Francisco Pride Celebration. As the co-creator of the NectArena Women's experience, she is committed to creating a diverse, multi-talented global representation of the women’s community at the pride festivities. Her work with supporting and empowering women through artistic expression stretches beyond NectArena to her production company MIZDJ Creations. She is truly and advocate for the women's community and constantly lends her expertise toward establishing opportunities for women to excel in the arts. -
Lisa Williams - SFLGBT Pride Celebration Committee Liason
Lisa is the President and owner of One Source Consulting, a firm which does political consulting and community advocacy. She has served as Regional Director for the California Democratic Party’s Every Vote Campaign, Regional Director for Governor Gray Davis, and Field Representative for Mark Leno for Assembly. She recently served as Nor Cal Deputy Political Director for the No on 8 Campaign. She is a Board member of Bayard Rustin LGBT Coalition, PAC Co Chair of the Alice B. Toklas Democratic Club, PAC Chair for Black Women of Political Action and Secretary for the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Celebration Committee Board. - back to top
