This year we’re not only celebrating the 40th anniversary of the SFLGBT Pride Celebration, we’re toasting the 10th anniversary of the Women’s Stage. NectArena is committed to making our 2010 production a “spectacular must see event.” As we honor SF Pride’s tremendous milestone, we will not let the world forget that merely a decade ago the Women’s Stage made its debut forever changing the festivities; finally establishing a dedicated place for women at the celebration. But NectArena is not just a musical/ performance stage; it is a message to the world that women need venues to contribute to the diverse landscape of our community.
To celebrate our diverse women’s community with education, visibility, collaborations and fun.

Who would have thought time would fly by so quickly. It definitely has and here we are proudly holding our heads up high as we stand and say "Happy 10 year anniversary" to the Women's Stage. This has been a long hard journey for the NectArena Committee, but clearly worth the effort for formal inclusion of the women's community in the S.F. Pride Celebration. Come help make our anniversary one for the record books to remember.

In 2009, the NectArena Women's Stage went on a one year hiatus to prepare for the 40th anniversary of the SFLGBT Pride Celebration and the 10th anniversary for the Women’s Stage. In order to ensure the women's community still had a dedicated space at the Pride festivities, NectArena teamed up with San Francisco Pride and Christine De La Rosa to present the Women’s Dance and Performance Pavilion (WDPP). The WDPP was a one time production specifically pulled together for 2009 in the absence of the NectArena Women's Stage. NectArena would like to say a special thank you the WDPP Committee for their effort and energy put forth to hold the space for our community. The WDPP Committee members included Lisa Williams, Christine De La Rosa, Olga Texidor, Kentucky Fried Woman and Amy Adams.
