MOMMA’S BOYZ - San Francisco Drag King Champions, Live!!! No Jive!!!

Momma’s Boyz sole intention is to entertain you with “all the way live” performances.   No lip-syncing! Their style is that of the Old Skool Hip Hop from the 70’s and the 80’s.  They believe this music has the clean, pure funk that is The Momma’s Boyz.

MCs Alex U. Inn, ShayN EZ, Daddy D and Gizmo, are very committed to giving their audiences a true feeling from the era of their songs.  Even down to only sporting vintage Adidas. Their song list consists of such favorites as, “Busta Move”, “Rapper’s Delight”, “Jump Around”, “It Takes Two”, “M.B.Z.” (to the tune of O.P.P.), and more.

Alex U. Inn is a transport from Philly Pa ”.  After caught hot-wiring one too many cars, he was sent by his Momma to live with his Auntie in the 4-1-5.  He gives props to his homeboy, Marc E. Luv and feels blessed by his friendship, everyday, with Ms Marla Renee.  Now, rap is his passion and the ladies are his fashion.  So, for the ladies he can’t resist, he seals his bio with a kiss.

ShayN EZ, Blue-eyed Soul Brother, raised by his Momma in Marin, skooled by The Boyz in SF.  The Lover of the group; loves to work out at Gold’s Gym and hanging with the Fellas on the corner.   “Ladies love him, girls adore him….even the ones who never saw him, like, the way that he rhymes at a show…the reason why, man, we all know.”

Daddy D and GizMo are the best damn dancers in the whole wide world!

Momma’s Boyz would like to thank all the brilliant musicians who
inspire the deeds of the MBz’s.

DJ Motive, a San Francisco native, has turntablism pumping through her veins.  Jumping on the turntables was the natural progression towards her love of music and an outlet she found to express herself. Motive since has been spinning vinyl across dancefloors from the Bay to L.A. for nearly a decade.  Motive's personal taste in music evolved from her early exposure to soul and classic hip-hop to an eclectic mix of Bay Area slaps, hip-hop, reggae, downtempo, breakbeat, electro and mash-ups.  Inspired by the cutting edge sounds such as Diplo, M.I.A., Bjork and Massive Attack and anchored in the Bay's very own E-40, Too Short and Mac Dre, her eclectic amalgamation of classic beats and new heat has made Motive a mainstay in the LGBT community and beyond.  Most recently Motive has expanded her musical talents earning a Bachelor of Sound Arts, specializing in sound design, sound engineering and audio post production and is currently holding it down as a sound designer for various theater productions in San Francisco.  Staying true to her roots and giving back to her community, Motive also instructs San Francisco youth in job training courses in audio, lighting and set design.

DJ Olga T has been the premiere female DJ in the Northern California women’s community for over a decade.  Olga’s passionate energy and flawless transitions always generate a happy and packed dance floor.  Being able to tap into and expertly blend multiple music genres at every performance has always set her apart from other DJs.  At any given performance she will infuse various music styles such as Hip Hop, House, R&B, Dancehall/Reggae, and Old School jams into an amazing musical experience for her audience.  Always in constant connection with her crowd, Olga T observes everything going on both in the DJ booth and on the dance floor.  Knowing that things such as adjusting the sound levels constantly, walking out onto the dance floor before and sometimes during a set to get a sense of where people’s energy is, and always keeping the music flowing with creative live remixing and other turntable tricks, keeps her sets tight, exciting, and memorable.
